The first dealings I had withwas in 1995, when I heard Bluetonic on the radio. I instantly fell in love with the song and the next day used my bus money to buy it (yes, I did have to walk home!!). When I listen to it today it still sounds great, and even the B-sides sound cool!
are the sort of band who you can identify with. The lyrics are some of the most beautiful around, and as Nicky Wire once said, they have a very feminine quality to them. They are a million miles away from the huge Oasis, who although I like them a lot, have a tendancy to slip into playing 'dumb rock'. When you listen to a song, you feel that you can relate to it. Other's have said that they are The Stone Roses mkII, but if you listen to Roses songs like 'waterfall' or 'She Bangs the Drums', you wonder how people ever saw the simmilarity in the first place, I certainly can't see it! Whatever people say about, I know that they are an extremely important band to me, they can do no wrong!
